Trials, nobody likes them. In fact many of us spend a good portion of our time avoiding trials or hardships of any kind. But no matter what, trials still come our way. As believers, we should expect trials. We are not just in opposition to a fallen world but also to the agents of darkness both seen and the unseen.
[churchpack_superquote]”Count it all joy, my borthers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that it produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its fullest effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4[/churchpack_superquote]
And James tells us that we are to see it as a good thing. Why? Because when we hold to Christ as our Savior and Sustainer, trials grow us stronger in Him. We become closer to Him. Trials can be used to focus us on God. So when the less-than-desirable happens, run to God. Pray. Seek His Word. Hold Him more tightly; because He will never let you, His child, go.
Be encouraged. God is good.
